geared bikes are the new fixed gears. stay ahead of the curve and get yourself a nice late 80's steel road bike. then dust the hipsters on your way up the hill.
No doubt, anonymous dude! But I don't advocate riding fast in the city. The important thing is to look good on the machine and not struggle with a massive gear or spin your legs wildly going downhill.
