I too noticed the similarity when reading the NYT story. Any Denver folks out there?
I've actually been told that Capitol Hill in Seattle was named after the area of the same name in Denver -- apparently the wife of one of our influential planners was a native of Denver.
Of course I've also heard that it was named Capitol Hill to entice the government seat up from Olympia.
Who knows which is right...
